City based financial services practice, Welbeck Group take on Deutsche Bank as a curtain raiser for the London Scottish versus Bristol clash, on Sunday 27th November. Both companies are significant sponsors of London Scottish and will play an exhibition match at 12.00pm.

Both companies have organised strong teams. Welbeck’s lineup includes former London Scottish players Jim Kelly and Iain Fullarton, now both Welbeck consultants who will be playing at The Athletic Ground for the 1st time in 3 years. Jim Kelly, also former head Coach of Scottish and long serving front rower is delighted to be back, “The club holds a special place in my heart and it’s great to be back playing again and catching up with old friends. It’s a great way to mix rugby and business and raise some funds for good causes.”
The Wooden Spoon charity will be raising funds on the day, with both Welbeck Group and Deutsche Bank contributing to the fund raising.
Welbeck Group clients who have agreed to add their weight to the day’s proceedings include former Scotland international winger, Kenny Logan and former England scrum half Andy Gormasall. Both of which will provide expert tactical advice to the teams. Former Premiership Referee Ash Rowden will officiate and the game promises to be a fun and competitive occasion.
Welbeck Group Practice Principal, Greg Knight also a board member and former player at London Scottish is excited by the game, “I think it is great that both companies can play an active role in sponsoring London Scottish and to play a rugby match with high profile former players is a great way for business and sport to come together for a good cause.
